How to use Photoshop CS6 for picture printing from Google ASSIGNMENT

How to bring an image from Google images to a printed A3 via Photoshop

View Images on Google...Search tools.... Size...Larger than... 4MP....(This ensures a good high picture resolution, high Pixels)

The programme I used was Photoshop CS6, so open PS folder.... file...New(name it)

Clipboard... International Paper( ensure paper size A3 is selected). If all appears ok then press OK.

Go back to Google and select you Image ie ….copy image... then back to Pshop... edit...paste... Move tool( this is at the top left hand side of all the different things you can alter you image with)....edit... transform....scale...( you can rotate the image if you like for landscape or portrait, then if so go back to transform and see the rotate options)

Link tool looks like this but a bit smaller(-) at the top this maintains the aspect ratio when expanding the image to fill the shape outline...shift tool and drag from corners... do the size you want even go a bit beyond the guide, (page dimensions) . Then ….unlock move tool.....Apply....Layer....flatten image..... file....save as...JPEG/ PSD(workable later on if you want, save the file with both(PSD, JPEG) if you want

.large file on sliding scale....drag into stick and name.....file...Print. In colour management check colour, size within Print settings.... scale to fit media....OK.......Job done

I hope this is of use to someone

  1. Some images; screen shots etc would have made this easier for your readers to understand. Also links to the tutorials on the PS website or a youtube clip for a more practical guide maybe?
